Recipe #1

For my first blog entry, I’m sharing you a recipe on one of my favorite foods. Aside from its healthy benefits, salads are so easy to prepare. Basically, you can just toss everything and pair it up with a dressing. I do, however, have a staple salad which I like to prepare on weekday nights or whenever I feel lazy to cook. 


Lazy Healthy Salad



Serves 6-8


Ingredients: 
200g Assorted lettuce  
50g Pea sprouts
50g Baby spinach 
*Greens rinsed, patted dry and torn into bite-size pieces
1/2 cup Cherry tomatoes, cut into halves
1/3 cup Almond slices
2 tbsp Olives
2-3 tbsp Feta cheese


Dressing: 
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
4 tbsp balsamic vinegar
or 
Kraft Italian dressing 


Preparation:
1. In a salad bowl, add in the greens, top with halved cherry tomatoes, almond slices, olives and cheese.
2. Combine balsamic vinegar and olive oil on a separate bowl. Slowly pour in the olive oil, while whisking constantly, until mixture has combined. 
3. Pour the dressing into the salad bowl, toss and serve.
