H&M has finally arrived in Manila! Woot! Woot!

When I heard that H&M will be opening its stores in the Philippines, I felt ecstatic! I may have mentioned from the previous articles that I’m a brand loyalist and would look for styles that I can wear even if fashion keeps on changing. H&M is one of those brands where fashion meets function. I won’t call myself a fashionista but every time I shop, I would look for clothes that are stylish and classy, and of course, there’s value for money. So here are my wardrobe must haves from H&M’s collection. I can’t wait to visit the store soon!

1. White Top

You can’t go wrong with a white top. Go for a casual look with a pair of jeans or trousers for an evening party. Just compliment with accessories or a colored jacket and you’re good to go.

 2. A Good Pair of Jeans

Denim pants can go a long way whether you’re pairing it with flats on a casual day or stilettos for a weekend date. Since it’s almost an everyday outfit that I can rely on, it pays to have a good pair of jeans that matches my body type.

3. Cardigan

I carry a cardigan most of the time. With an unpredictable weather like here in the Philippines, you never know when you’re going to need something to warm you (or even when you just needed one to keep you cozy inside a movie house). It’s easy to tuck in my tote bag and it also goes well with an office attire. Some say cardigans’ already out in style, but I believe otherwise.

4. Black Trousers

Tailored or not, a pair of black trousers or suit pants is basic in any business attire. I wear trousers/pants more than skirts so I usually keep a couple of black trousers and pair it with different blouses or shirts for an office look.

5. Pencil Skirt

Black skirts are as staple as black trousers, so I guess you won’t anymore be surprised if a black pencil skirt comes out of my list. Since I don’t wear skirts that much, wearing a pencil skirt gives me a boost of confidence especially when I’m on my high heels.

6. White Long Sleeve Shirt

Dainty, basic, and classic. That’s how I would define a white button down shirt. Goes well with boyfriend jeans, suit pants, or skirt.

7. Treggings or Leggings

Leggings or treggings are an addition to my must-have wardrobe. Firstly, because of its comfortable. Secondly, because of its comfortable. It’s just easy to wear and pair with any top.

8. Jacket or Blazer

You’ve got to have a good blazer or jacket that’s not too loose and not too stiff when you wear on top of a shirt.

9. Striped Shirt

I don’t see this item often in similar “must-haves” articles that I read from magazines but I feel that a striped shirt deserves a spot. It turns a casual look extra special. It’s chic and it’s classy. The nautical/navy style has been there for quite some time and I think that striped shirts especially if it’s navy blue like this top looks pretty nice on every lady. Just make sure you choose thin stripes if you’re on the plus size so you won’t look bigger.

10. LBD

Oooohhh… the little black dress. YOU. REALLY. NEED. TO. OWN. ONE. I cannot stress that enough. Whether it’s lacy, sleeveless, V cut, or whatever, the LBD is one wardrobe must-have that’s really going to take you a loooongg way from nailing that job interview or having a perfect dinner date with your special someone.
