Hi, I’m Elaine.

I live and work in the Philippines. I’m in the early stages of my married life and I can say that I pretty much like my job as a communications professional in the academic industry. I keep a journal, try to read as much books as I can, take pictures that I find interesting (or to keep a document of my activities), travel whenever I have the means, and experiment in cooking different dishes.

At this point in my life, I…

  1. Lived in two (2) countries
  2. Got married
  3. Travelled in Southeast Asia
  4. Travelled parts of my country
  5. Organized an international event
  6. Volunteered in two (2) sporting events
  7. Learned photography
  8. Watched a musical
  9. Visited museums
  10. Started an herb garden
  11. Went on a retreat
  12. Joined a marathon
  13. Learned how to swim
  14. Visited an elderly home
  15. Watched Lea Salonga live in a concert and
  16. Bought one of her albums and had her autograph (sorry, fangirl moment!)

There are still a lot of things I want to do and wish I would be able to do. I like making lists as much as I also dread not being able to accomplish them. But given the time, energy, and opportunity, I would like to…

  1. Learn to play a musical instrument
  2. Go on a pilgrimage
  3. Make my own latte art
  4. Be fluent in Spanish (or learn another language)
  5. Swim with dolphins
  6. Support a cause
  7. Take up postgraduate studies
  8. Teach
  9. Travel to more places in the Philippines
  10. Travel to more places in Asia
  11. Travel to Europe
  12. Visit Disneyland
  13. Visit Harry Potter World
  14. Learn how to bake a cake
  15. Climb a hill or a mountain
  16. Donate blood
  17. Learn how to put on a full make-up
  18. Learn how to paint
  19. Publish something (could be an article or a research)

Hmm, I guess that’s about it for now. That’s a mouthful to do in a lifetime, I guess. How about you? I would love to know what’s on your list.
